Roasted Chicken

Hi everyone, well came back to my blog. Today my recipe is about a delicious Somali roasted chicken. I know most of you know how to roast chicken, but I am going to share with you in different style. You can eat with whatever you want with, although most of the Somalis eat with rice. So try it out roasted chicken in Somali style. It is simple recipe as well. I am sure you guys gone like it, so try it.
Ingredients

1.      1 whole chicken

2.      1 tsp ginger powder

3.      1tbsp of paprika

4.      1 tsp of salt

5.      ¼ tsp of black pepper

6.      2 cloves of garlic

7.      2 tbsp of plain yogurt

8.      Cilantro

9.      1 tsp of cumin powder

10.  1 tbsp of butter

Directions

1.      Wash the chicken with water then with apple cingame.

2.      Drain the chicken, cut it in two pieces and message with butter.

3.      Mix the other ingredient and message it both sides of the chicken.

4.      Put in the oven with the heat of 350.

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. I am going to make a recipe which is a healthful diet dinner. Although Somali food are a lot of different kind of food. It is very healthful food . As we all know that our body produces what ever we eat the more health food we eat the better shape we could have. If we take care what we eat we can get the result from our skin, our body shape and our hair. So everything dependence on the food we eating. We don't need to eat everything our stomach is not a trashcan we need to take care what we are eating in order to get the results. so our stomach is very important, so to night I am going to post a healthful diet food . It is simple recipe as well, so try it.
Ingredient
  • Mung beans
  • Italian parsley
  • Radishes
  • salad tomato
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 middle size of onion
The benefits of mung beans
  • Combats heart disease
  • anti cancer effects
  • fights off obesity
  • treats anemia
  • easy to digest
  • rich in iron, magnesium, potassium and vitamins C, k and B6
The benefits of Italian parsley
  • Cancer prevention
  • Diabetes prevention
  • Improves bone health
  • very rich in vitamins C,A and K
  • Helps control blood pressure

The benefits of radishes
  • prevents viral infections
  • keeps you hydrated
  • High in vitamin C, magnesium and, fiber
Directions
  • First, wash the Mung beans and cook for 20 mins and then drain
  • Wash all the other vegetable and cut in small.
  • Mix it well by adding the olive oil and the lemon juice.

Somali Samosa recipes

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog again. My next recipe is going to be somali samosa. It is so deli  oust snack.
Samosa Dough ingredients.                                                                                                                       
  •  cups of all purpose flower
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tbsp of oil.
  • The next step is the filling ingredient ground beef/ chicken what ever you want.
  • 1 pound ground beef/chicken  
  • 1 tsp of ground cumin
  • 5 green onions
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of ground chili.
  • If your vegetarian you can fill it the samosa with 
  •  Spinach 
  •  Feta Cheese
  • Sumac Spice.
  •  After you done the filling in process then you can fry it with oil or you can put it in the oven. If you don't like the oil.

By trying something that you didn't know is very important to try because everyone learn how to cook no one didn't born with so, I am sure you can make it so try it.

 It is simple recipes, so welcome to Somali tradition soup dish.
Simple tasty preparation of beef and okra with other vegetable like potato and squash. It is so healthful and you can with a lot of things.

Ingredients


  • 1 pound lamb or beef
  • 2 potato
  • 1/2 pound okra, sliced
  • 1 squash
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 chicken cube
  • 2 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder

Directions:

  •   Heat  the oil with medium heat, and put the meat until brown.
  • Add the onion and cook until tender, then add the potato and stir for 4 to5 minutes.
  • Add the tomato, garlic, cilantro, and the squash. then add  salt and the spices, if you don't like spices it is optional.
  • Mix the chicken with a little water and mix until mixed together. add the water a little bit by checking the soup. Don't put a lot of water because we don't want very liquid soup. We want normal not very thick either.
  • Stir in the okra, green onion, and cooking until all the vegetables were tender.
  • Serve with Somali bread which we called sabaayad.
